Looking for cool custom basketballs? Today we’ve pulled together three simple ways to personalize a basketball. So your favorite hooper can make an impact every time they hit the court, and not worry about someone else grabbing their ball. Or so you can give an awesome gift to a coach in your life.

Discover the best custom basketballs

We’ve included a top of the line basketball for playing with, a great value option that’s versatile, and a ball with the biggest surface area available to customize. Let’s jump in!

1. Custom Wilson Evolution Basketball

This is the perfect pick for a serious hooper of any age. This ball tops our list because it’s our favorite to play with, and because the ball comes in any size you need. So now that they offer a customized option for this ball, it’s the best way to get a great performing personalized ball. The Wilson Evolution is an indoor ball, but it’s fine for outdoor too as long as you don’t mind it wearing through a bit faster. The process and ink they use to print is the highest quality for the longest lasting result. However the space you get to customize is the smallest, and this ball is the most expensive.

With logo personalization, you can add a full color logo or image to your basketball to the panel above the Wilson wordmark. The custom logo is added using direct print, which is an ink printed onto the ball so it will never disappear. Direct print is not a sticker decal, it is high visibility ink printed directly on the surface. The customizable area is roughly a 2 inch by 2 inch circle. Simply upload your preferred artwork (whether it’s your name, team logo, your number, or just a graphic you love) and adjust it with the arrows.

You can shop the custom Wilson Evolution Basketball on Wilson’s website for $94.95. Or to customize your Evolution with two lines of text (such as your name and number), you could work with a customizer on Etsy here, offering Evolutions for $92.99 but they’re only available in a few sizes.

2. Customized Spalding Indoor/Outdoor Ball

This personalized basketball is a great value – so if you’re going for bang for your buck, this should be your pick. It’s great for beginners or younger hoopers. This ball is the most versatile as it’s intended for both indoor and outdoor use. It features durable composite leather that provides plenty of grip, though not as cushiony of a feel as the Evolution. The customized name you add is designed to be permanent, so you can play with the ball all day and the name will last! However, there are only two sizes available: Official Size 29.5″ and Intermediate Size 28.5″. Delivery is very fast, so it’s a great last-minute gift.

To customize it you can write up to 30 characters, and pick your font color from a selection of 10 colors including green, pink, blue, black, and many more. Simply pick your ball size, then click Customize Now. Then just type your name and click on the color font you’d like, and you’re all set.

You can shop the custom Spalding ball on Amazon for $44.99, where it’s won the Amazon’s Choice award, and is rated a 4.5 based on 690 reviews.

3. Full Panel Customization Basketball

This ball makes the best gift if you’re looking to give a fan or hooper something they can display in their home. With Make-A-Ball’s customization options you’re able to select a 29.5″ basketball or a 5.5″ mini-basketball. However the basketball itself is a generic.

To personalize you ball, you can choose whether to print on your ball’s vertical panels or horizontal panels, as well as whether you want your design to cover 2 panels or 4 panels. You can select to design the ball yourself or have them design it for you (you submit your images – best quality jpg, png files – and any text requests) and they make it fit for no added cost. You’ll need to be a little patient with this one, as it ships in 8 to 10 days.

On Facebook they’ve received 4.6/5 rating from 116 reviews. The regulation size ball can be purchased on their website and starts from $64.95. In January they were offering 10% off orders using the code COURT – which might still be worth trying.
