OK one thing about a show co-headlined by Sydney Colson: it’s going to be hilarious. Tune in tonight for episode one of the brand new series (10 episodes), as World Champions and bench-warming besties Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance try to become the faces of the WNBA — despite the fact that no one asked them to.

The Syd + TP Show follows current Las Vegas Aces hooper Syd and former Aces forward TP on their quest to become the most famous basketball players on earth through a mix of stunts, interviews, hijinks and a complete lack of shame. More importantly, even the 2023 Sixth Woman of the Year, Alysha Clark, thinks you should watch it!

“It was initially going to be a podcast series just about my life in the WNBA,” Sydney told Howard Megdal for Forbes. “Like my trajectory, staying in the league, as long as I have without really being a high-minute player, talking about my passion for comedy and wanting to act after basketball, just like a lot of things, family, stuff like that. And so it was going to be an inside look to my life for listeners who didn’t like know my story.”

“But when TP and I became teammates, we clicked immediately and it was just like a kindred spirit kind of thing. And we bonded. And I told Gina [Paradiso], my agent, ‘Hey, I think I have a teammate who I might be able to do something with. I think it might be even more fun than my podcast.”

The show, produced by Togethxr, premieres this evening, Monday, September 18 at 9 pm ET/ 6pm PT on the Maximum Effort Channel on with FuboTV. You can watch FuboTV on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, Plex, Sling Freestream, Tubi, VIDAA, VIZIO Watchfree+ and Xumo Play with Fubo Sports also available on Samsung TV Plus and The Roku Channel.

“We do some man on the street interviews, some improv, have some cool guests,” Sydney said. “That’s pretty much what you see. You’re not going to see us playing basketball, though.”

Looking for more great TV – and more specifically – people playing basketball? Tune into the WNBA Playoffs tomorrow night.
