Athletes Unlimited isn’t just kicking off its new hoops season – the innovative athletic company also dropped some new basketball merchandise. Complete with four comfortable tees featuring incredible photography, count the Every Moment Counts collection as a must cop!
The drop features four unique black t-shirts, each with an iconic photo on the front from the league’s inaugural season, and the text “Every Moment Counts” complimented by the Athletes Unlimited wordmark, on the back.
“Every Moment Counts aims to capture the spirit of AU’s unique scoring format. Every shot counts, every rebound counts, every assist counts, every win counts. Every Moment Counts.” Tamara Curl-Green, AU’s Senior Director of Digital Fan Engagement, told Queen Ballers Club.
“Our content team works hard to capture all of those moments and we wanted to highlight some of our amazing photography with an apparel collection so that fans can carry those memories with them. We launched the collection last year during softball season and are continuing with basketball. Over the course of the year, we will add moments from each of our seasons.” she continued.
The Every Moment Counts shirts were designed by Athletes Unlimited graphic designer, Jonathan Louie, and utilize some of the best photography from the AU content team, namely Lead Photographer Jade Hewitt and designers Jonathan Louie and Krystina Brown.
The Duo Tee features everyone’s season one favorite dynamic duo Natasha Cloud and DiJonai Carrington. The And One Tee features Lexie Brown, who’s apparently going to get three points on the play no matter what – as she was known for her clutch three pointers throughout the season, in addition to getting through contact to the glass. Not be outdone, the Layup Tee features forward Jessica Kuster, you guessed it, nailing a layup. And last, but certainly not least, the From There Tee is headlined by Sydney Colson, making a statement.
Photographer Jade Hewitt, who captured the photo of Sydney on the From There Tee shared, “The moment this photo was taken was one of the most electrifying moments I’ve witnessed in sports. Sydney Colson hit a massive half-court buzzer beater and her celebration was a mixture of complete hilarity, passion, and excitement … all words that describe her.”
“I immediately ran up with my camera, and when she found me, she stuck to me like glue for a good twenty or thirty seconds. She kept yelling, ‘I’m really from there!’ (there being Houston), while making the most intense face. This photo took off online, and I remember seeing it everywhere.”
