Washington Mystics star and two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne has launched her own signature shoe with Nike. Elena’s signature Nike sneaker is available now, crafted with Nike’s adaptive and inclusive “FlyEase”, and is officially known as the Air Deldon.
Elena and Nike first began the journey of designing sneakers with the FlyEase ethos over five years ago, with a focus on creating an inclusive and versatile sneakers for all. The shoe’s unique design features a collapsible heel, allowing for hands-free entry. It also has a series of Velcro straps along the collar that secure the foot in place.
The debut “Lyme” colorway (Ocotber 6, 2022) is inspired by her battle with Lyme disease: the lime-green accents represent the drive to continue to fight, even when you feel like you’ve got nothing left.
Elena tweeted, “Inspired by my battle with Lyme disease, this shoe represents the fight I bring both on and off the court. Through sharing my story, I hope to show other athletes what’s possible.”

The shoes also feature a “EDD” circle logo along the strap closures and heel, as well as another EDD text along a forefoot nylon tab to round out the signature detailing. You can get yours on Nike or Dick’s Sporting Goods for $120.
Six colorways are slated to be released, with each revealing a chapter of Elena’s life. The second colorway is the “Be True” colorway and is styled in rainbow gradient. It features speckled laces in celebration of LGBTQIA+ communities, which Elena herself is part of. Additional blue and orange accents represent her and her wife’s favorite colors. “Be True” markings can be found on the toes, medial straps, and insoles. It’s launching October 11, 2022.
The third colorway to look out for will be “Together We Fly” – a light gray color scheme featuring the popular “White Cement” print. The phrase “Together We Fly” is seen on the medial ankle and graphic insoles of the right shoe. The shoe will debut in the next few weeks.
